Hi
I am currently studying Creative Craft using Photography NCFE Level 1. Its a really good starting course and I am learning all the requirements to take good / better photos. Look at Joseph Priestley College (Morley, Leeds)

I undertook the same course last year and it was really good, not sure if it is the same tutors this year but the content of the course was really good (much more than a level 1 qualilfication!)
I am now starting out with my own photography business (part time), have several paid wedding bookings for the coming year and have managed to turn my hobby into something that pays for my expensive camera habit and in the future I hope could be a career! Best of luck with the course, you will enjoy it!

Sally, I’m self taught and often considered taking a course, if not too make sure I’m on track. I don’t get much in the way of feedback so I’m thinking a course would build self confidence and a great opportunity to meet like minded people! I’m from Morley myself, what else can you tell us about JP?
Hey – I’m a pro photographer who did the Exposure Leeds tour in Bramley last weekend, and just spotted your question about photo training. Basically, myself and two other pros run a photo training company in Leeds called 3B Media, and run training for all levels of photographer, from someone wanting to get to know their DSLR, right up to advanced off camera flash / post production courses.
Check out http://www.3bmedia.co.uk for more info & do drop us a line if you’ve any questions!

Hi,
I offer a range of photographic courses – mostly 1 day – at my small studio in north Leeds. All are 1:1 and very practical. Full details are available here: http://mikelesterphotography.co.uk/overview-workshops/
If you require something specific, I’m always happy to design it for you.
I’m very experienced in both photography and training with many years working in both through corporate organisations and local colleges and Leeds Met.
If you check my site, you’ll also see a link to independent feedback from past customers.
Like the little old lady who asked the road sweeper in New York how do you get to Carneage Hall,he answer was practice.practice.
Seriously though find out what area you want to develope and look for a specific course.Calumet do ones at great prices.
I like to go on play days with like minded photographers and bounce ideas off each others.
On the group days there is very liittle egoes just help.
I am self taught and also spent a fortune on seminars but it was my play days that got me my Associatship of the MPA and Fellowship of the SWPP.
So if you want a day out just shout i will learn as much from you.
Regards
Rod
Hello!
I’ve recently completed the NCFE Level 1 course and I found it to be quite useful. If you don’t know anything about cameras / photography, it’s a great start, but if you have some pre-existing knowledge, then it probably won’t teach you all that much.
The course that I completed at York College focussed more on processing using Photoshop, rather than actual photography techniques and camera skills; I personally found this to be a little frustrating. Over all the course was very good value for money and thoroughly enjoyable.
I guess that as with anything, you need to choose a course that suits your needs and skill level.
I Hope this helps.
Will.
