For those of you who remember, last summer we were invited to document the Kirkstall Festival in it’s 30th year – which resulted in an amazing response of thousands of images and a fantastic exhibition at Patrick Studios.
This year the festival will be running on the 9th July and we’re looking to recruit 6 photographers to cover the day; each photographer will get an ‘All Areas’ access pass and between them it is hoped they will record the breadth of the Festival – from first light to the last person off site. We will then collate the shot images, using a writer, to create a documentary piece around the day.
Why not take a look at the edition of Kirkstall Matters featuring last year’s photos.
If you would like to propose yourself we’d like to see:
- Your name and email address- How you would plan to record the event- Sample images (preferably shot by yourself) to show your approach – small file sizes preferable!
Please send proposal emails – by 20th May.
If you prefer it, Middleton Day – on the same date is also looking for photographers! More here.
Thanks to Jim Moran (banner image), Nathan(above) and Jon Eland(left), who made their photos ‘Creative Commons‘ licenced – meaning we can use them on this promo!)
