Despite the hot weather and the temptation to sit outside eating ice cream, we once again had a good turn out with over 50 people joining us at Old Broadcasting House.
As usual Jon kicked off the evening and then introduced Jonathan Bliss who presented on macro and close-up photography techniques. His talk included many great examples of macro photography and he provided his view on the best equipment and methods to capture those detailed shots. Jonathan’s slides are available to view under the “presentations” menu item above.
Following a quick break, Adrian Freeman talked us through a selection of his stunning travel photographs from China, India and Central and Eastern Europe. As well as amusing us with some of his experiences he talked us through each photo, explaining the subject and highlighting any technical issues or difficulties in obtaining the shot.
Once again this month there was a flash swap of prints and its safe to say the quality and excellence of the work has definitely stepped up a notch from last month’s print swap! If you’re looking for something unique to put on your wall watch out for swaps at future events.
