The simple pitch: a photowalk giving Exposure Leeds members a change to find the visually interesting elements of Bramley.
INTRO
The next of our regular weekend coffee / cake / snapping events finds us in Bramley as Looking Good, Leeds starts to make it’s presence known in the area.
Local Fran Graham is looking to raise the visibility of the area and, through Looking Good, to improve the quality and interest of the visual imagery of this area of Leeds.
DIRECTIONS:
It is 2 mins walk directly up the hill from Bramley Station, and from the bus stop on Stanningly Road. People driving in should be able to park at Bramley Station. If the spaces are full, they should head down the hill and park at Morrissons.
Those getting the train in from Leeds, head out of the station, down the ramp, turn right and walk up the hill Cross directly over at traffic lights (there is a bank of shops to your left – a barber’s and a chinese restaurant), walk up the hill which is Hough Lane, crossing Back of Bath Lane on your right. Jack Snacks is further up the hill, before you reach a sharp right hand corner.
If you’re arriving from Bradford by train, head left out of the station, cross over onto Hough Lane at the traffic lights, and follow the hill up until you see Jack Snack’s Cafe on your right.
Buses to Bramley pass through regularly – approximately every 15/20 minutes. The 72 and X6 are best – ask for Stanningley Road or Bramley Station & get off at the stop directly after Bramley Station (which is on your left straight after a set of traffic lights). From the traffic lights at Hough Lane, take the road up the Hough Lane hill. Halfway up the hill, on you right is Jack Snacks Cafe.
Meet from 10:30, walk starts at 11:00 at Jack’s Snacks (Cafe), Hough Hill, Bramley.
