What is a PhotoCamp?

PhotoCamp Bradford is an unconference for those people who are interested in any and all aspects of photography. PhotoCamp is for everyone: newbie’s, professionals, teachers, everyone is welcome!

An unconference is a small conference where the content is provided by the attendees!

People are asked to contribute sessions that they want to present or hear about. Those sessions are picked up by someone with experience in that field and they present it. A session is between 5 and 30 minutes and can cover any topic related to photography.

The framework is loosely based on the successful BarCamp unconferences. As BarCamps developed and grew in popularity, a set of guiding principles evolved that have now been used for many BarCamps.

Alternatively – read how Phil Winterbourne described it on Amateur Photographer’s forums: “the fact I’ve offered to run a session this time, and have run sessions on strobism before give you an idea of the set-up. It’s people like you and I sharing our particular passion or skill set with other like minded photographers.”
