I just wanted to add a bit of a post event update; the exhibition was fantastic – the two curators did a fantastic job of selecting images to present – not easy as over 2000 were submitted!
Over sixty people attended the exhibition, of which two were MPs and organisers from Kirkstall Festival are really happy with the result; so much so they are now creating a permanent archive of the images.
Not forgetting that a permanent record will be created as a photobook to be stored at various locations including Abbey House Museum (Exposure Leeds will be acquiring a copy) and a special section to the next Kirkstall Matters magazine will carry a number of images.
Exposure Leeds’ Si Cliffe, Mark Jaffe and Paul Dishman were among those who had their images selected for special display.
I’d personally like to thank Ken Stratford for the invite and his tireless work on this project and also Rachel Barker and Lauren Pissochet who curated the exhibition (and will be producing the photobook). Finally I’d like to send a special thank you to all the photographers from Exposure Leeds for the wonderful images they created.
