A number of times I’ve been asked about beginners events for photographers – or sessions to help people to get the basics. And, whilst this is achievable, it’s very difficult to pitch something at just the right level.
Thankfully, the Open University have already dealt with this by develeoping their Digital photography course - creating and sharing better images (T189). This course avoids the need to turn up to a ‘real world’ course every week and still develops your skills and you ability to critique yours work – and that of others in a safe environment similar to Flickr.
John Smith, one of the course tutors, will be at Exposure Leeds to discuss the course, help you to identify if it’s right for you and to give you a taste of what you’ll get if you sign up.
Exposure Leeds 10 is 2nd December from 6pm to 9pm at Old Broadcasting House, Leeds LS2 9EN.
Entry to the event is £2 and includes hot drinks, refreshments and entry into the printswap.
