Monthly meet 9: Jay Mawson

Another month passes and Exposure Leeds #9 is upon us!

Jay Mawson
Having first picked up a dSLR over Christmas 2006 Jay’s photo talents became quickly evident to those in Leeds group on Flickr – and beyond.

His work was featured in the Tate’s ‘How we are now’ and he was selected to appear on Channel 4′s Picture This. Jay’s work has since largely moved into fashion and portraiture and can be seen on www.jaymawson.co.uk

Printswap
A printswap will be operating at this event – this time with a theme: autumn (be as loose or literal as you want!)

How?: Bring a suitable print to the event (with your name, email or Flickr ID on the rear) – during the presentations these will be ‘hung’ in a temporary gallery and at the end everyone who brought a photo will get to select and take one home!

As always there will be time to socialise before and after the presentations, along with an update on the local photography scene – including Exposure Leeds’ other activities.

  • Wednesday 4th November – 6pm – 9pm (presentations start at 6.30pm).
  • Location: Old Broadcasting House (directions)
  • Entry: £2 – includes printswap entry and a hot drink (subject to availability)

Exposure Leeds Meetup is supported by NTI Leeds and the Innovation Showcase at Leeds Metropolitan University.
